PRSA ECD Awards John Palmer, APR, as the 2023 Platinum Award Recipient

PRSA East Central District Chapter is proud to announce John Palmer, APR of the Ohio Hospital Association as the recipient of the 2023 Platinum Award.

The annual Platinum Award recognizes a public relations practitioner who has achieved a distinguished service record and is clearly identified as a role model for other professionals through Chapter, District and National service. The award was established by PRSA ECD in 1996 in honor of former ECD board chair Donald P. Durocher, APR, Fellow PRSA.

Palmer, a member of PRSA Central Ohio, has 20 years of experience leading successful strategies and plans for organizations specializing in media relations, public affairs, corporate communications and reputation management. He currently serves as director of media and public relations for the Ohio Hospital Association, a statewide organization representing Ohio’s 248 hospitals and 15 health systems. He also is an adjunct professor at Capital University and Ohio Dominican University.
