Applications Open for PRSA ECD Board

If you answered YES to any of the above, consider applying to join the PRSA ECD Board! The PRSA ECD Board of Directors Nominating Committee is accepting applications for its 2025 Board slate. We are seeking potential members for both director-at-large and executive committee positions. 

Directors-at-Large in this cohort serve two-year terms, which will end Dec. 31, 2026. Executive committee roles run from Jan. 1, 2025 to Dec. 31, 2025. Per ECD bylaws, the Chair-Elect role will automatically move into the Chair position in the next year.

The board is responsible for all activities of the six-state, 15-chapter district and for ensuring that the district focuses on its stated mission. In general, board members determine policy. Specific responsibilities for each board member include:

  • Participating in all board meetings, assuming an annual committee assignment, attending one in-person board meeting (fall), and performing other duties the chairperson and board may assign.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the District’s strategic plan and initiatives and formulating District policy for achieving these objectives. Planning for the District’s future through long- and short-range plans, monitoring their implementation and evaluating them on a regular basis.
  • Developing financial support for the District and ensuring its financial accountability.
  • Advising and recommending policies, procedures, plans and programs to the chairperson.
  • Representing the needs of the profession and District members on the board.
  • Ensuring that the District and the board operate efficiently and in accordance with the PRSA bylaws, as well as in the best interest of District members.
  • Board members will serve committee roles as designated by the 2025 ECD Chair. The 2024 Board of Directors will convene in September to make the 2025 Board Slate decisions.
